The 2024 Dour Festival in Belgium, lived up to its standards of unique programming. It achieved this while bringing new experiences for over 220,000 visitors. This year saw the introduction of Rizom Restaurant overlooking The Last Arena. This allowed attendees to book locally-sourced fine dining while watching their favorite headliners. There was a lot to choose from, including Ice Spice, Justice, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, and Oscar and the Wolf – who finished with a fireworks display to celebrate the Belgian National Holiday.

With all that, Dour continues to be be a place for music discovery after 34 years. Leading up to the festival, Cement Magazine conducted interviews with Belgian acts SOROR, Dorothy Gale, Dushime, and KOWARI. Other breakthrough acts include Aili and Reinel Bakole. Its commitment to putting fresh talent on display, makes Dour Festival a special time year after year. This, coupled with its good-vibe crowds, creates a special Douriverse, complete with its own currency – “Douros”. If you missed this year’s edition, planning for 2025 is already in the works.
