An event rooted in music discovery, MELT Festival 2023 continues this theme across a range of genres, including rap, hip hop, hyper pop, and indie from 8-11 June. Additionally, this year’s edition heavily features groundbreaking DJ’s and electronic music producers.
These are found at the various hosted parties from Toytonics, Strangelove, and Multisex, found at the Beach Club. Also, the roller(disco) stage has been upgraded to a bigger than ever Autoscooter strage. Takeovers from Nonsense, Club Heart Broken, and DJ Heartstring present Teenage Dreams happen here. In addition, like last year’s instalment, there’s daytime programming – including daily yoga.
We want to create space for shared experiences and discoveries, to encourage our visitors to think outside the box. We are sure that even perhaps unknown acts will cause storms of enthusiasm at MELT.
-Florian Czok, Festival Director & Booker
This year’s picks
With a large lineup on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, there’s 10 acts that really stand out and represent MELT Festival’s overall vibe. This list includes performances by Channel Tres, Stella Explorer, Agar Agar, Bakar, Ekkstacy, LSDXOXO, Planningtorock, Róisín Murphy, as well as live DJ sets from Eliza Roze and Bicep. Of course, this is only the beginning of what’s offered by MELT. Each night ends with a party that’s epic enough to challenge the Berlin club scene.
Accessing MELT Festival
One of the best things about MELT is its location. Easily accessible from Berlin, and most German cities, the festival provides a shuttle bus from Dessau. Also, like last year, the nationwide rail ticket allows fans to just hop on and go. Once at Ferropolis, there’s a variety of camping and accommodation options to turn the site into a comfortable base. With a commitment to sustainability, MELT offers green camping for eco-conscious partiers. The festival does a good job at maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphere for a nice party experience.
